Advance HE – NTF and CATE Schemes 2026-27 – Expressions of interest welcome
In the last edition of The Briefing, we brought you news of two winners of NTF and CATE awards at Bristol, in 2026. If you’d like to submit an expression of interest (EOI) for next year’s scheme, BILT are currently accepting EOIs for 2027 – closing date for applications Monday 5 October, 9am.
The National Teaching Fellowship (NTF) scheme recognises, rewards, and celebrates individuals who are judged to make an outstanding impact on the student learning experience, and provide the means to develop a proactive community of National Teaching Fellows.
The Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) scheme recognises and rewards collaborative work that has had a demonstrable impact on teaching and learning.

Share your plans for the year with us!
We’d love for you to share your teaching plans for the year with us – whether it’s trying out something new in the classroom, utilising online tools or taking your students off campus to develop peer relationships (or anything else!).
Writing a blog for BILT is a great way to share your practice, develop your writing skills and raise your profile within the University. We have writing guidelines available to use and we will support you through drafting your piece.
