Qualitative research methods and data analysis workshop (online)

This workshop is primarily for BILT Education Development Project and Associate Project holders, but any staff interested in the topic are welcome to attend. 

Attendees can expect to: 

• Explore the purpose and value of qualitative data analysis (QDA) in higher education research 

• Gain an overview of common approaches to QDA, including thematic analysis, grounded theory, discourse analysis and content analysis 

• Take part in a hands-on thematic analysis coding exercise using authentic student data excerpts 

• Reflect on how qualitative data analysis can be applied within their own educational research contexts
