Meet the new BILT Student Fellows
Earlier this month, we welcomed five new Student Fellows to the BILT Team, who will be with us until July 2027.
Student Fellows have their own project to research and produce resources (blogs, videos, podcasts) for, as well as promoting findings through various mediums inside the University. They also interview staff, students, and undertake scholarly research to produce findings we can feed back into the University. Our aim for the Fellowships is that the projects are completely student-driven to ensure they truly represent the student voice.
We asked each of this year’s Student Fellows to write a blog-post, introducing themselves:
Amaya Lewis-Patel (Future Skills)
Samita Khondokar (Assessment Design for an AI World)
Siqi Shen (Active and Inclusive Learning)
Sude Sisman (Student Research Journal & Conference)
Ranu Kudellage (Student Research Journal & Conference) coming soon…
In conjunction with their projects the Student Fellows publish blog posts and podcasts throughout the year and their individual styles shine through, you can find them all in the BILT blog category Student Voice and the BILT Broadcast.

BILT funded workshop series: Interdisciplinary Education Network
How can we create learning experiences that help students think beyond disciplinary boundaries and engage with the complex challenges that are increasingly part of the world we live in? This series of four workshops provides a space for colleagues from across the University to explore key questions in interdisciplinary education.
Through conversations with educators and students, insights from research, and opportunities for collaborative reflection, participants will consider ideas around curriculum design and assessment, and what this means for student and staff identity and expertise. This is an excellent opportunity to build connections across the University with colleagues who share an interest in developing interdisciplinary learning and teaching.
Book your place now:
Each 2-hour workshop will take place in Room 2.26, 35 Berkeley Square. Light refreshments will be provided. The full line-up is as follows:

REMINDER: Share your plans for the year with us!
We’d love for you to share your teaching plans for the year with us – whether it’s trying out something new in the classroom, utilising online tools or taking your students off campus to develop peer relationships (or anything else!).
Writing a blog for BILT is a great way to share your practice, develop your writing skills and raise your profile within the University. We have writing guidelines available to use and we will support you through drafting your piece.
