Instead of New Year’s resolutions this year, we are looking to share and celebrate our greatest achievements of 2023! Have you successfully applied for any grants or funds? Completed your PGCAP or HEA Fellowship? Received great student feedback on something new you’ve tried in the classroom?

Next Wednesday: ‘Show, Tell and Talk: International Student Experience‘
Our next Show, Tell and Talk event takes place on Wednesday 6 December, 1-2.30 pm in Room 1.20, 35 Berkeley Square. This interactive workshop will explore and discuss ways we can support international students to thrive in their learning.

Bristol Skills Profile Launch
Last week saw the launch of the University’s new Bristol Skills Profile, a platform that allows students to assess and record experience of nine high-level key skills, prompting reflection, conversation and self-awareness.
Prof. Tansy Jessop spoke at the event, sharing that the Profile “speaks to the idea that soft skills matter as well as technical skills. You do need to know your stuff to build bridges and aeroplanes, but you also need to know about persuasion, negotiation, and teamwork.”

New blogs and resources

Case studies
Are you doing something innovative or exciting with your large group teaching this year? Or even something relatively ‘normal’ but is receiving a good reception? We are looking to share good practice of large group teaching – get in touch with us if there’s something you can share with us!
We’re also always looking for case studies on:
- Decolonising the curriculum
- Assessment, particularly group assessment, inclusive assessment and engaging with the AI revolution
