One of the most important ways he has supported my growth is by strengthening my intellectual curiosity in a rigorous and meaningful sense. Rather than allowing me to stay at the level of broad or abstract formulations, he consistently encourages me to ask what exactly I mean, what my argument is based on, and what might still be missing from the picture.

My horizons are broader because of the interest he took in what I was doing and the encouragement he gave me to work further on it.
