Student Support Manager in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, School of Economics
Rachel’s work with the School of Economics senior tutoring team has fundamentally changed the way the UG personal tutoring works within the School of Economics, and very much for the better! As a personal tutor, I am always confident that there is someone who will take my concerns seriously and follow up with the care and diligence the role demands. She could not do this without her extensive School and institutional knowledge.
…I simply could not do my job without someone as strong, reliable, level-headed and compassionate as Rachel working to support our students as they start their university journey.
[Rachel] has a regular list of students who she keeps in regular contact with, holding meetings to provide and direct students to appropriate support. Allied with this role, Rachel provides leadership in the School extenuating circumstances panels, and without whom, we would be unable to function.
Rachel has enhanced my uni life and has definitely contributed towards my achievements this year, and I can’t thank her enough!
