BILT Briefing Issue 107

Happy Welcome Week to all of our new and returning students this week! We hope you’ve all had fun getting acquainted (or reacquainted) with the city in the rain!

This week we are going to be showcasing the work undertaken by some of our 2022-23 project holders and sharing the projects that are taking place across the University this year.

2022-23 Projects

We supported so many exciting projects last year, from a residential field trip for first years to help community building to creating a student engineering education research group (and many more interesting projects in between!). We’ve published case studies on all of the completed projects, which you can browse using the link below.

2023-24 Projects

We are currently funding a fresh batch of innovative education projects across the University, which are focused around our key themes for this year (Designing for all, International students’ experience, and Pedagogic research culture.)

We also have a number of BILT Associates leading different cross-disciplinary groups this year – we will share more about these projects in the next edition of the Briefing.

The next two blogs in Christophe Fricker’s series on Resonance Pedagogy are now available:

We also have a blog from last year’s Student Fellow Dominique Duff, the first of a series of authentic assessment case studies from across the University.

We have a blog from BILT’s Aisling Tierney who shares their findings from recent research looking into staff and student experiences of hybrid learning in pandemic-impacted context.

One last thing

We’re still looking for people to take our survey reviewing our online resources. It only takes two minutes (if that!) and will really help us plan and design resources for the upcoming year.
