Welcome back from the Easter break! We hope everyone managed to have a little time off to indulge in some egg-shaped treats and spend quality time with family and friends. Here in BILT we are ramping up to our busiest time of year and thought it would be a good idea to share important dates for your diary over the next few months.

Do you have an interest in teaching and learning leadership and scholarship? We are seeking participants to complete an online survey to help us understand and improve the current pedagogic research culture, as part of a BILT-funded project called “Understanding Pedagogic Research Culture at the University of Bristol”. The survey will take around 20 minutes to complete, and all colleagues (academic and professional services) are invited to complete it.

Our annual Student Research Festival is taking place next Thursday 25 April! The Festival’s theme is ‘Conflict vs Resolution’ and will include presentations looking at conflict in the morning and resolution in the afternoon. The Festival takes place in the Global Lounge and we welcome students and staff from across the University.

BILT Student Research Festival 25 April 2024. Global Lounge. 9 am – 4.30 pm. The Student Research Festival is a one-off event highlighting the best of student-created research. Free entry. Choose from morning, afternoon or all day tickets.

Tickets are still available for morning, afternoon and all day (including lunch) sessions – please view the schedule and book your ticket here to secure your place!

Three Horizons is a simple and intuitive framework that brings people together to take action. It can help us to structure our thinking about the future in ways that spark innovation. If we all want to live well and thrive on one planet we must bring about profound changes in our ways of life.

Join us to learn about the framework and explore how to create the sustainable futures we aspire to.

This session is led by Bill Sharpe, one of the pioneers of the Three Horizons framework and director of Future Stewards (www.futurestewards.com). If you would like a preview, take a look at this short introductory video.
