Paul has always been so keen in making everyone feel welcome and taken care of in his course. He takes the initiative to arrange cohort and group meetups, which allow people to mingle and interact. He has made me feel (as an international student) so welcome to Bristol and to engineering in the UK as a whole.
He always shows so much interest in what you say, and is extremely well connected. He will always know some person he can get you in contact with regarding any job opportunities, or hobbies that you like partaking in. He connects you with people if you mention you’re interested in something, so you can interact with them and feel a sense of purpose in what you do. He strives to make all students feel connected to what they like doing.
Paul helped me to understand that my neurodivergence was not a weakness, giving personal examples of people he knew who were successful and ways that they had managed throughout university and work. He also helped me understand where to go to get help and what could be done to help me throughout my studies.
