Lecturer, Department of English

Mary’s lectures over a variety of modules were so engaging – every one was so interesting and articulate that I felt spurred on to engage in further reading and research to a significant extent.

She used lots of different kinds of media in seminars and lectures, clips from films, comedy skits etc. Sometimes the texts in Literature 1150-1550 would be a bit difficult to wrap your head around but she always tried to use things outside of just the text to help us understand.

I received my best marks in TB1 in Mary’s unit due to her teaching.

Mary was always attentive to students’ opinions and open for enriching debates.
