Lecturer, University of Bristol Business School

Fatima is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about her subject, something that is reflected in her teaching. Her pedagogical approach is student-centred, integrating a variety of learning activities to engage students and promote critical thinking, such as case studies, simulations, and group presentations, where peer-feedback is also encouraged.

Fatima redesigned assessments to address societal issues and organised workshops with industry experts. The circular economy workshop with hands-on activities has provided students with practical insights and skills, making their learning more relevant and impactful, and increasing their motivation to tackle real-world challenges.

Her use of diverse assessment methods ensures that all students, regardless of their background or learning preferences, can demonstrate their understanding in a way that suits them.
