Hearing from students was very important to Dan. He organised several additional opportunities to hear from different student groups and enable them to provide feedback.
From his range of different events targeting different audiences, and by being a friendly face, I am confident many students who would not have otherwise spoken up about feedback have been empowered to do so during some of the events he has held, especially as he has engaged with such a wide range of students.
Was transparent about ideas that might not work and was also willing to reconsider ideas that had not come to fruition in the past. When assessing actions from the previous SSLCs Dan had consistently followed up on every suggestion and explained the process and results.
By the end, I would really look forward to SSLCs, because I know that my ideas will be heard and valued, and we always come away with exciting new ideas about teaching and learning.
