Antonia (gently) pushes us to get the best out of our efforts for example by submitting to more impactful journals or bigger conferences. She provides rigorous feedback which allows me to refine my research skills and produce better work in the future, especially for write-ups.
Through regular research group meetings, Antonia hosts a collaborative and supportive space where we can share progress, discuss challenges, and learn from each other. This space is invaluable and we all notice how lucky we are.
Antonia always celebrates our achievements and platforms them which builds confidence and gives us the opportunity to recognise our successes when too often as a PhD student, we can focus too much on what is going wrong… Antonia a phenomenal academic supervisor, she is also an inspiring mentor.
