SUMMARY:Voice and Presence: skills for active and inclusive teaching (led by Bristol Improv Theatre)
DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome to register for this event\, but in the unlikely event we reach capacity\, priority will be given to those teaching at TQEC.\n\nRegister here\n\nTuesday 9 June 2026 (10 am – 1 pm) Room G.12\, Victoria Rooms\n\n\nIn this session\, we will explore tools from acting and public speaking to help practice engaging listeners. This includes practical techniques to train and strengthen your speaking voice\, projection\, warming-up\, body language and using authenticity to tap into your inner charisma.\n\nCharisma can be broken down into:\n\n● Being present\n\n● Being relaxed\n\n● Being authentic\n\n● Caring about what you are talking about\n\n● Listening to the audience\n\nAll these skills can be taught and practiced. This is not a performance or performing workshop. Every activity will be an invitation and offered to do in pairs or small groups\, including discussion and reflection. One part of the workshop will involve the group taking part in gentle movement and voice exercises to support grounding and voice training.\nShare this:\n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n Like this:Like Loading…
