DESCRIPTION:Staff register here Students register here \nAI is here to stay and the education sector faces a choice of how to engage with it. A full understanding of the risks and opportunities – from the perspective of both teachers and learners – is essential for policy making that will maintain fairness without ignoring this important area of technological advancement. \nThis session will explore and discuss ways to implement AI in assessment. \nThis 90 minute in-person workshop takes place in Room 1.20\, Helen Wodehouse Building\, 35 Berkeley Square and will give a brief overview of our BILT-funded research projects which are focused on: \n\nActive feedback using ChatGPT: investigating approaches to using generative AI for as a student active feedback tool in assessment\nFunding an Associate Project focused on briefing senior management and on producing academic guidance on AI and assessment\nGathering student views on AI and assessment\nEngaging the community with AI events and workshops\nEngagement of a BILT Student Fellow exploring all aspects of designing for all including AI and assessment\nFunding an Education Development Project which aims to deliver and evaluate an innovative teaching and learning project in the theme area\n\nFacilitators:\nSarah Davies – Director of Education Innovation\nKathryn Ford – Lecturer\, School of Biological Sciences\nSam Bell – Senior Lecturer\, School of Accounting\nAisling Tierney – Lecturer\, BILT \nThe session includes a presentation\, group discussion\, and will end with a chance to mingle with fellow attendees over tea and biscuits. \nCatering arrangements:\nTea\, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
