SUMMARY:Designing inclusive and active learning for all\, including international students
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nPart of a programme of events for Business School colleagues. Please note\, this event has been rescheduled from its original date of 25 February. \nWed 20 May 2026 2pm – 4pm \nRoom 1.01\, Howard House \nThrough discussion\, reflection\, and hands-on activities\, participants will: \nExplore the principles of inclusive curriculum design and culturally responsive pedagogy. In today’s diverse higher education landscape\, designing learning that is inclusive\, engaging\, and accessible to all students is more important than ever. This interactive workshop explores practical strategies for creating active learning environments that support the success of all learners\, with a particular focus on international students. \nBy the end of the session you will be able to: \n– Identify barriers to engagement and belonging for international students and other underrepresented groups. \n– Share and develop strategies for fostering inclusive participation in active learning settings. \n– Consider how inclusive design benefits all students—not just those from international backgrounds. \nWhether you’re new to inclusive teaching or looking to deepen your practice\, this session offers a supportive space to reflect\, share ideas\, and leave with actionable approaches to enhance your teaching. \nShare this:\n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n Like this:Like Loading...
