DESCRIPTION:The event is for BILT Education Development Project and Associate Project holders. This workshop provides an introduction to ethical considerations in pedagogic research and supports participants in preparing an ethics application for their own project.  \nDuring the first part of the workshop (2hrs)\, attendees can expect to:  \n\nExplore the key principles and elements of informed consent. \n\n\nIdentify ethical issues and considerations relevant to your pedagogic research project. \n\n\nExplore common research methods for data collection (e.g. focus groups). \n\n\nLearn where to find guidance\, resources\, and support for ethics applications. \n\n\nBegin drafting your research ethics form with structured guidance and practical examples. \n\n\nHave opportunities to ask questions and discuss your project with colleagues. \n\nThe second part of the workshop (1hr) is optional and takes the form of a supported writing retreat.
