SUMMARY:Co-designing a Critical Reflection Resource: Embedding Bristol Skills Profile in Community Engaged Learning Projects
DESCRIPTION:Register interest: Complete this short form to receive a calendar invite.   \nHosted by the Community Engaged Learning Forum (CELF)\, attendees at this event will co-design a critical reflection resource that can be used in teaching and learning\, particularly where partnership working is present.  \nThis session will be of interest and relevance to any colleagues that could embed critical reflection into student activity – through teaching\, learning\, assessment or extra-curricular activity.  \nWe are interested in hearing from colleagues’ experiences and perspectives  to collaboratively develop a resource that could aid embedding critical reflection into our practice and how this can be enhanced by using the Bristol Skills Profile.  \nThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a resource we hope will be used across the University and are keen to include as many voices – from junior academics to Professors – in its creation as possible.   \nThe session will be divided into two sections:  \n\nFirst we will introduce the value and role of critical reflection in teaching and learning\, paying particular attention to its role in CEL pedagogy. We will also explore and discuss various models of critical reflection. (45 mins)\n\nWe will then work collaboratively\, bringing in our own perspectives and experiences to codesign a critical reflection resource which will sit alongside the existing CEL Resources that we launched in November last year. (45 mins) \n\nMain session aim: To explore how purposeful approaches to critical reflection can enhance Community Engaged Learning practice; supporting more meaningful and mutually beneficial engagement with community partners and fostering richer learning and personal development for students.  \nLocation: G14 Life Sciences Building   \nWe will start by introducing the value and role of critical reflection in CEL\, before exploring different models and approaches to embedding this in units and programmes. As many of you are already working to embed BSP within teaching and learning\, this session will give us space to share best practice and co‑design reflective resources that can support meaningful CEL.  \nRegister interest: Complete this short form to receive a calendar invite.   \nShare this:\n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n Like this:Like Loading…
