Wed 20 May 2026 2pm – 4pm

Room 1.01, Howard House

Through discussion, reflection, and hands-on activities, participants will:

Explore the principles of inclusive curriculum design and culturally responsive pedagogy. In today’s diverse higher education landscape, designing learning that is inclusive, engaging, and accessible to all students is more important than ever. This interactive workshop explores practical strategies for creating active learning environments that support the success of all learners, with a particular focus on international students.

By the end of the session you will be able to:

– Identify barriers to engagement and belonging for international students and other underrepresented groups.

– Share and develop strategies for fostering inclusive participation in active learning settings.

– Consider how inclusive design benefits all students—not just those from international backgrounds.

Whether you’re new to inclusive teaching or looking to deepen your practice, this session offers a supportive space to reflect, share ideas, and leave with actionable approaches to enhance your teaching.
